A severely forgotten Leicester City player, who was once a decent prospect and hasn't played for the Foxes for two years, is about to make his return. The centre back didn't really impress enough at King Power Stadium in order to stake a claim. To that end, multiple former LCFC managers weren't overly impressed and didn't use the Australian too often. In fact, the 26-year-old was allowed to leave on loan; I'm fairly positive that he was also up for sale for around a couple of seasons.

Injuries, naturally, have also derailed the progress of the footballer in question. He was injured whilst on Filbert Way, not to mention being harmed while playing for his loan team. The defender actually ruptured the Achilles tendon against Burnley when representing Sheffield United. Now he's back at Seagrave having undergone surgery, rehabilitation and physio.

There was a report doing the rounds which claimed the ex-Stoke City and Fleetwood Town professional was said to be out for the remainder of the year. Though he could make a come back sooner following a suggestion from Leicester head coach Marti Cifuentes. Whether the style of play suits the gaffer along with his methods is a potentially contentious subject. But let's see what's been declared.

The last time Harry Souttar featured for the Foxes was the 2023/24 campaign. To be exact, it was a Championship match with Rotherham United on December 23, 2023. The CB played for 12 minutes of that contest.

Enzo Maresca was the boss in that era. Although most of us in the Blue Army expected Souttar to exit at a similar time to the Italian.

Yet the Australia International was kept; double temporary departures followed. Now Cifuentes has updated fans on Souttar:

"Soutts is coming back from a long-term injury, so that’s a great possibility for me. When I look back to the bench, we have a lot of possibilities as well."
