At Leicester City Football Club, we seemingly have a well-rounded and complete set of senior goalkeepers. There is even the suggestion that newest goalkeeping addition Fran Vieites could push No.1 Jakub Stolarczyk in the XI. I'm not sure about that argument; competition is, obviously, ideal on any roster.

We are pretty well-stocked at the moment. So I was consequently surprised to see the Foxes linked with a quality stopper who had a nightmare start to the season. England Under-21 National Team Representative James Trafford recently returned to Manchester City. Where he subsequently began a couple of games and looked particularly nervous on the ball.

One or two mistakes and goals conceded later and Citizens head coach extraordinaire Pep Guardiola decides enough is enough at only an infant stage of the campaign. One of the world's best goalies, Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma, soon arrived at Etihad Stadium. This means Trafford is sidelined or even available, and still a great shot-stopper if nothing else.

Will Leicester target Trafford for a transfer in January? What's being claimed about the young but extremely talented Man City keeper who still has time to improve his footwork? And would we advocate a signing in this instance?

What's the score?

Don't write Trafford off yet, is my advice to the football sphere. Yes, he has struggled at MCFC so far. Though he's only 22 years old to be fair.

However if it were up to me, I would have also taken the exact same measure that Guardiola thought appropriate. Donnarumma is a wonderful 'keeper, worthy of being first-choice anywhere on the planet.

Leicester City reportedly target James Trafford for transfer - What's the latest on Manchester City's goalkeeper?

At present, I'd stick with Stolarczyk between the sticks at King Power Stadium too. The 24 year old Pole has been exceptional overall; he's made few errors. Although, capturing Trafford would be somewhat of a coup. It's a toughie!

"James Trafford is facing an uncertain future at Manchester City despite only re-joining in the summer, and TEAMtalk understands that a January loan is now a realistic possibility, with Southampton and Leicester City interested."
