There are two Leicester City matters to address on the site today. First of all, we have a new loanee to discuss. The 21-year-old has now left King Power Stadium on loan and will hopefully return back stronger. We will, as always, detail the news and offer opinion as a forward exits the club.
Meanwhile a former LCFC employee has received a rave review from an ex-Foxes head coach. The very well-known, widely popular and intense manager gave a glowing endorsement of the now previous executive of the outfit. In fact, the person in question explains why the old chief executive officer was exceptional at her job, as well as getting along with and connecting other people at the organisation. Not to mention him claiming that things will now, essentially, never be the same again on Filbert Way.
Is the one-time City boss right in his view, or is this a seemingly melodramatic and idealistic viewpoint, in spite of an admittance of occasional disagreements between the two?
Attacker temporarily leaves Foxes
Let's begin with Kian Pennant. The England Under-19 international has joined Gateshead. A similar loan to young City goalkeeper Jake Donohue's move to Quorn FC.
Pennant will probably only be with the National League club for a month. He is known for being very quick and possessing a deft left foot.
Ex-Leicester City boss explains why other LCFC leaver was exceptional
Once City manager, Nigel Pearson, has expressed his shock at the departure of CEO Susan Whelan. Pearson oversaw City's incredible 'Great Escape' in 2014/15 then left while much of his squad, the 'Incredibles', lifted the Premier League trophy the following year.
The 62-year-old had only nice things to declare of Whelan, who he worked with in LE2. Nevertheless, the two did clash now and again, he admits, implying sincerity. But the quotes underneath imply City had the correct person in the position:
"The news of Susan Whelan leaving Leicester City has come as a huge shock and surprise to me... Her contribution to the incredible rise and success of the football club as a business and sporting operation is absolutely in no doubt... Her business skillset, her strength of personality, directness and ability to make tough decisions during stress is unrivalled, in my experience... Her loyalty to Khun Vichai and the whole Srivaddhanaprabha family was set in stone. She was literally King Power’s ‘safe pair of hands’ during the earlier period of their wonderful Leicester City adventure."Nigel Pearson
