Jordan James was a very astute addition at King Power Stadium. You may say a perfect loan for Leicester City Football Club. After some ideally thrilling and gap-filling play already at LCFC, James's apparent price tag was revealed and equally shocked the Blue Army. Paying a supposed £5million (option to buy) for the former Birmingham City man would be an absolute pleasure, to be honest.

Not to get ahead of ourselves but that figure would likely be a wise investment too. I'm not tempting fate, although so-called bigger clubs will take notice if James continues in the style we've become accustomed to. As a matter of fact, the young yet experienced midfielder is such a good fit that many people are wondering just how and why the Foxes recruitment department were able to pull it off!

These are the appearant reasons which explain how Leicester managed to beat Wrexham and Ipswich Town to the Jordan James signing.

Wrexham and Ipswich Town must be kicking themselves after Leicester City seemingly secured one of the best Championship signings of the summer in Jordan James

"- I'd like to buy Jordan James please.
'No problem, sir, that'll be £5m'.
- Oh, is he on offer or something?!
'No, no; that's just the Rennes valuation.'
Great, I'll take him before you change your minds! Cheers!"

That was a little role play of how I'd conduct business with the Ligue 1 side. A pleasure!

In all seriousness, Leicester cannot and will not pass on this deal. I'd imagine les Rouge et Noirs are questioning their own decision already; if the reported fee is accurate, of course.

Leicester have James's father to partially thank for his son joining. Tony James, a former EFL footballer as well, discussed and championed Jordan's eventual move. That is explained here, on Instagram. So it appears the Red Dragons and Tractor Boys never stood a chance.
