With only one week before a ball is kicked in anger upon of the 2025/26 Championship campaign beginning, Leicester have finally conducted a couple of transfers. The outgoing was a long time coming, believe me! Although, one or two so-called notable yet realistically ageing and overvalued sales could possibly provide the Foxes with a great and previously unforeseen opportunity.

Can the East Midlands outfit flog two overrated Foxes in order to keep another more valuable, star Fox? Leicester don't owe Bilal El Khannouss a transfer, he's contracted for three further years. They aren't obliged to allow him to leave if they don't wish to finances permitting, naturally. Even if the Morocco international is demanding a move, I think the recruitment department on Filbert Way may be able to get creative here.

Get rid

As I indicated prior, Leicester desperately needed to offload a few ageing and overvalued veterans such as the former Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers man. In a prior article, I explain why Conor Coady was at the top of that list.

City obtained a welcomed £2million for that transaction; Coady was said to be on £75k to 85K-per-week. So offloading his needless and expensive wages, arguable bad influence and overblown pretence and presence at the club feels like a breath of fresh air.

But which other Foxes with hefty salaries are unneeded? And could combining one, two or more of these players Foxes of Leicester don't see much optimism around to help LCFC retain better, younger and more prominent but targeted ballers?

Surely Leicester City can offload two or three hyped-up Foxes on vast sums and therfore keep playmaker Bilal El Khannouss

Sorry to break it to you, but Patson Daka is apparently on £75k-per-week. Though we need at least one striker on the roster, so he probably stays. However, the midfield department is well-stocked. I've chosen two options to discard there.

"Though surely the majority of us supporters would understand if El Khannouss and Hermansen both leave. That eventuality is preferable to LCFC suffering further financial problems, uncertainty or woe."
Foxes of Leicester

Selling Harry Winks or Boubakary Soumare (earning £90k and 75k every seven days, respectively) is an available direction. Alternatively, ridding themselves of CM Oliver Skipp (60k), centre back Jannik Vestergaard (50k) or James Justin (Leeds United interest has emerged) could open space and balance books. Up to £20m could surely be made there so to keep El Khannouss; that figure has been quoted as his asking price.
