A major rumour emerged before an potentially significant announcement on Sunday afternoon - Leicester City Football Club are apparently finally appeasing their fan base. That's right, the Foxes supporters are apparently going to get their long-awaited striker.
If the club had started the 2026/27 season without a recognised, capable centre forward, they would have been asking for real trouble. It would be like deciding to play a game without a goalkeeper, just fielding an extra defender and hoping the opposition never manages to shoot.
Putting that imperfect analogy aside, it seems there will finally be a specialist goalscorer arriving on Filbert Way this coming season. That man is Admir Bristrić, the player many City fans have been researching today.
Those who are not familiar with the Slovenian leagues will be interested to know Bristrić was actually prolific on loan at Bravo in the previous campaign. That impressive form clearly caught the eye of the LCFC recruitment team.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Under-21 international is currently undergoing his medical at Seagrave Training Ground, according to all widespread reports. If these accounts are to be believed, the deal is all but completed.
When you consider the signings City have already made (Alex McCarthy, Connor Chapman, Liam Cullen and Tommy Watson, plus Manchester City loanee and Christian McFarlane) the starting line-up is starting to take clear shape. This is especially true if expectations like Luke Thomas potentially losing his place to McFarlane come to pass.
Foxes taking shape
The Leicester lineup could look something like this if Jakub Stolarczyk is dropped in favour of McCarthy. The ex-Southampton stopper would start in goal, with McFarlane at left-back, and LCFC academy graduate Bade Aluko on the right.
At present, the centre-back spots look likely to go to Ben Nelson and potentially Caleb Okoli, assuming neither secures a move away. Harry Souttar's transfer to Stoke City appears increasingly probable, suggest recent reports.
Oliver Skipp is widely tipped to anchor the midfield, with either Sammy Braybrooke or Louis Page ahead. Braybrook has stood out as arguably the best Fox of preseason so far.
Conor Chaplin should feature in the side as an advanced No.8 with Braybrooke or Page. Then on the left wing, Tommy Watson or Stephy Mavididi will take the role.
The right-hand side offers plenty of options right now, including Will Alves (FoL do wish to see his prevalence), Josh Cullen, Jake Evans and Riley Carr. And leading the line up front will be the new main man, Bristrić.
