Leicester fans predict second international signing amid loan news

On Sunday afternoon, Leicester City fans suddenly grew far more optimistic and pleased with how the club's transfer business was unfolding. To be fair, the Foxes hierarchy and recruitment department desperately needed to appease their fan base after failing to secure expected signings early on.

Everybody knows the need for a striker at Filbert Way is desperate: both senior strikers Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka left at the end of the previous season. Right now, the only options for the central attacking role seem to be underwhelming choices like Nathan Opoku, youth players or wingers playing out of position.

Kirsten Otchere is one youngster who has performed admirably in pre-season, though he is not expected to be considered as a regular starter. Otchere may earn a role as a 'super substitute', though it is difficult to know exactly what plans City have right now.

Elsewhere, LCFC were widely thought to need another central defender, but they have not yet been able to sell Harry Souttar or Ben Nelson. This is because they are seemingly asking for high asking prices, a stance that has actually pleased many supporters.

The fees gained for Jeremy Monga and Abdul Fatawu were pretty ideal all things considered. Even though neither player was easy for fans to relinquish.

The striker supposedly coming to King Power Stadium is Admir Bristrić, who was prolific during his loan spell at Bravo in Slovenia last season. That said, Bristrić's overall scoring record elsewhere in his career leaves something to be desired for many followers of the club.

Nevertheless, standing at six foot two, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Under-21 forward provides the physical capacity to score through multiple different channels. The comparison made to Edin Džeko, the former Bosnian attacker, also feels exceptionally promising for the Leicester faithful.

Elsewhere, former Swansea City man Liam Cullen has been added to the ranks and brings versatility across the entire front line. He previously played as a centre forward in his younger days but is expected to feature as a No.10, an '8' or potentially on the right wing.

Tommy Watson should likely take up the left wing role, or at least be in direct competition with Stephy Mavididi to start there. Meanwhile, Alex McCarthy was brought in as a new option in goal.

McCarthy could take the starting spot unless City sign another goalkeeper, as Jakub Stolarczyk has not really done enough yet to earn the No.1 jersey. Conor Chaplin is another attacking addition who brings great utility in the best possible way.

Chaplin can play as an 8, a 10, a winger or even as a support striker, giving the squad plenty of flexibility. Although, certain fans believe the East Midlanders might still be in the market for another player with a similar profile to Chaplin.

Last week, journalist Darren Witcoop claimed LCFC were targeting another Swans player who had previously played under Martin; Ollie Cooper is a Wales international and fits the bill, just like Cullen. Now that Cooper (who is more of an 8) is reportedly leaving the Welsh side, LCFC's support has put two and two together and made its own guesses.
