Five draws in six Championship outings for Leicester City isn't a decent reflection of all the good work manager Marti Cifuentes has done at King Power Stadium. Not to mention the efforts the Catalan has reportedly put in at Leicester's Seagrave training complex either. As a matter of fact, the ex-Queens Park Rangers head coach is said to be living at the luxury, modern facility which is the envy of football clubs around the world.
Does that investment and commitment by a gaffer give City the edge? Potentially, in the long run. Though Cifuentes is yet to find the key to the LCFC puzzle; the last boss in this position, Enzo Maresca, truly did. I have faith that the latest team leader can come good, as they say. The feeling among the majority of City's Blue Army fan base, if I have read the crowd accurately, remains that the right man for the job was hired.
Nevertheless Foxes fans, especially those paying spectators, won't put up with too many more anticlimactic stalemates, or unpredictable losses, before eventually turning on Cifuentes and his staff. Let's hope that doesn't happen; Leicester and Cifuentes appear destined for another try, or an initial shot, at the Premier League.
But today (Monday, October 20), we are previewing the next Leicester match. The subsequent game is almost immediately upon us as the East Midlanders face Hull City.
