Ideal playmaker loan transfer candidate available to Leicester

Earlier this month, a seemingly out of the loop (and out of his depth) Marti Cifuentes stated that Leicester City Football Club are looking to make a trio of signings which fit three different profiles. I would imagine those hypothetical recruits will be signed on loan or using free transfers. That's because, as we all know, City's funds are restricted; not to mention the organisation's ability to spend anything technically feels restrictive, by design or procedure.

Nevertheless, only Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday are currently listed as embargoed or under restrictions from the English Football League Championship sides. City are in fact free to trade, suggest the appropriate sources. Yet Cifuentes is apparently under a misapprehension, or is mistaken, if he believes the East Midlanders will back him monetarily. He is surely hoping to replace Julian Carranza's now finished temporary stay in LE2. Elsewhere, surely only players signing for no fee are possible: hence my out of the loop remark.

Regarding the positions the former Queens Park Rangers head coach would like to strengthen or improve upon, he did designate or nominated those specific areas. First of all, the most obvious requirement on Filbert Way: a new striker. Obviously this must be somebody capable, confident and suitable. Next up, Cifuentes mentioned a fresh centre back amid an injury concern to Jannik Vestergaard.

In addition to the sidelined Dane, Wout Faes also left on loan with a view to a permanent exit in July. Adding a separately centre half therefore becomes essential to some. The third role is a No.10 or a playmaker; and LCFC may have an ideal, feasible and plausible EPL option to pursue.

Has a perfect playmaker transfer option opened up for an in need Leicester City?

"While the Spaniard is capable of playing on the right, his deft touch, intelligence, and eye for a pass could see him become the perfect link between the lines for Leicester - operating in the number 10 role."

Fabrizio Romano recently declared that Wolverhampton Wanderers will allow a Championship outfit to take Fer Lopez temporarily. The attacking midfielder has been connected with the Foxes elsewhere; nows the time judging by his skills:

"Fer López can be available on loan until June 2026 from Wolves after limited game time this season so far."
