Jamie Vardy has marked his return to the Premier League like he never left. The Leicester City legend is already having a more positive impact on the Foxes.

As far as Leicester City legends go, there isn't anyone better than Jamie Vardy. The striker, who was a punt from the Foxes when he originally signed, has become one of the best English strikers in history.

It goes without saying that Jamie Vardy was one of the standout players when Leicester City won the Premier League against all odds. In that season, he ironically beat Ruud van Nistelrooy's by scoring in 11 consecutive Premier League games.

However, that is the Jamie Vardy of the past. Even after he's aged, he's still banging in the goals.

This season (with only 15 games in out of 38), Jamie Vardy has scored double the amount of goals (6) that he scored in the entire 2022/23 season (3), where Leicester were relegated from the Premier League.

It is quite remarkable that Jamie Vardy has doubled his former tally, in less than half of the games played. This goes to show that returning to the Championship reignited that spark in Jamie Vardy and now he's back in the top flight to bow out his career with another remarkable achievement.

Under Ruud van Nistelrooy, Jamie Vardy is a different beast. He scored for the Dutchman in his first game in charge and repeated the honour at the weekend.

In the last three Premier League games, Vardy has scored twice and assisted twice. He also played the entire match at the weekend against Brighton, showing incredible athleticism for a 37 year old.

Vardy had many opportunities to leave Leicester. Unlike some of his former teammates, though, he remained. While his name his very firmly etched into the history books of the club, it is still nice to see him doing his thing late into his career.
