Wholesale will be the buzzword at Leicester City's King Power Stadium this summer. The Foxes squad is going to be transformed; don't expect any marquee signings, but youth starlets will hopefully be deployed to invigorate a side reeling from the cataclysm of consecutive relegations.

There should be a few intelligent loans and free transfers on Filbert Way as well; as long as so-called chief football officer Jon Rudkin isn't chiefly involved in recruitment! The impending exodus is not merely a tactical adjustment but a financial necessity.

Many of the Blue Army's favourite players will, sadly, be sold as well. That quota will almost certainly include the likes of electrifying winger Abdul Fatawa, and potential future superstar Jeremy Monga. Talents far too prestigious for the depths of the third tier considering respective valuations if nothing else. But which other Foxes will leave Leicestershire during the offseason?

Significant changes pending at Leicester City as the Foxes face a crucial reset

First of all, and according to the Leicester Mercury, Fran Vieites is in the departure lounge. The backup goalkeeper, who arrived without promise from LaLiga, is firmly on the sell list, along with veteran Asmir Begovic. The Bosnian remains a primary 'release' candidate as his contract expires.

The defensive ranks are set for a draconian as well as extensive culling. Defenders expected to go include disappointment Victor Kristiansen, the towering failure of Jannik Vestergaard, and long-serving, likable Ricardo Pereira. Even those more recently integrated, such as Woyo Coulibaly and Jamaal Lascelles, are deemed surplus to requirements.

The youthful Ben Nelson, once seen as the future of the backline, may find himself sacrificed for capital. Furthermore, Caleb Okoli, Harry Souttar, and the currently loaned Wout Faes are all mentioned as high-value assets whose departures are viewed as inevitable to balance LCFC's books.

"Jeremy Monga - SELL

When he turns 17 in July, his contract becomes a professional one and that should mean City can get a decent fee for him. All of the big hitters in England want him, so he seems destined to leave."

Moving up the pitch, the cull continues with the ruthless efficiency; as Alan Johnson taught us in Peep Show: The scythe is remorseless. Midfield miscreant Harry Winks, along with Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Stephy Mavididi, and the emerging Wanya Marcal, are all designated likely leavers.

Even the last two strikers on the roster, Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka, are happily forecast to vacate their lockers. This is no longer a mere transition: it is a total dismantling of a defunct era. If the club is to rise from the ashes of League One, summer surgery must be clinical, precise and, above all, final.
