Welcome to the website on Christmas Day. And may I wish you all a merry Christmas - whichever team you support. But especially to Leicester City fans! I hope Santa brought you everything you asked for; and that your gifts were well-received too.

I was thinking of some LCFC-related Xmas songs. It could be, 'Leicester City are coming to town. Or 'Stay (Away) Another Day'. This could be an appropriate Wham! remix for today's article: 'Last Christmas I gave Leicester my heart, but the very next day Liverpool took it away'. We lost 3-1 to the Reds on Boxing Day 2024.

The Foxes have exhibited some ridiculously bad form on that date over the years since the Srivaddhanaprabha family acquired the LCFC team. That's not to say that we haven't also enjoyed our best period in history since summer 2010 when the late Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha et al. arrived in Leicestershire. A Premier League title, the FA Cup trophy, a Community Shield, entry into every European tournament available.

We have almost done it all under the guidance of The King Power International Group. Although times are now different under Khun Top (son, and current chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha), we must remember that he did oversee the side's maiden cup triumph. That will never be taken away, in spite of Top's terrible run as owner over the subsequent four years. The fact that many in the Blue Army fan base now wish for him to sell up speaks volumes of City's plight, to be absolutely frank.

Yet today we are discussing something negative over a longer spell than recent, double relegations. It does not concern cancelling Xmas at King Power Stadium, nor Profit and Sustainability and threatened points penalties. The East Midlanders' bemusing Boxing Day record is our focus.

A perplexing and pretty concerning Boxing Day statistic emerges before Leicester City's clash against Watford

Since the 2010/11 season, Leicester have only won two December 26 fixtures. You may say to yourself, 'well, we might not have played many matches': wrong.
