All in all, the Leicester City fan base wish Jamie Vardy well. In spite of the fact that it was extremely hard for us to let him go, and see the striker play elsewhere. The Blue Army knows it's for the best and what he wants. It's probably like saying goodbye to your kids when they leave for their first day of school or college.
Anyway, the retired England international is now in Italy. Cremo defeated Sassuolo and AC Milan before he arrived or appeared in Serie A. The debutant has now featured for Cremonese, playing approximately 30 minutes against Hellas Verona. Although he suffered an, apparently, slight injury afterwards. Vards consequently missed the Parma outing, along with the chance of a home debut.
Now Grey and Reds head coach Davide Nicola has updated us all on the legendary centre forward and his status. What's wrong with Vardy? And when can we expect him to return to action?
A Fearless former Fox
The Vardys are supposedly settling in decently to their new home, having 'fallen in love with northern Italy'. Although, wife Rebekah and the family aren't in Lombardy full-time yet.
Nevertheless, Jamie undertakes Italian language lessons; you can probably guess which words are said to fascinate him! He has reportedly made friends in the fresh setting.
Injury update on Jamie Vardy after Leicester City icon missed Parma fixture
Vardy, the closest thing LCFC had to a Ballon d’Or-winner when finishing eighth in 2016, was cheered by the away support and booed by home spectators upon his first appearance for Cremo. But he may now be sidelined for a while.
Yet the information given on Vardy's problem was vague; other players were discussed further. Nonetheless, Nicola revealed this:
"We want to get Vardy and Sarmiento settled in as quickly as possible, but must also be wary we don’t over-do it,” said Nicola in his press conference.
“The training we’d been doing risked becoming unsustainable, so we gave them another type of exercise to avoid further problems. They will continue their personalised schedule, "
So, it's a muscular issue. That is encouraging, in general. Clearly the boss is worried about aggravating the knock. I'd imagine a week or two is probable.
