Leicester City Football Club is drastically evolving at present. That includes behind-the-scenes staff like coaches, the most significant managerial alteration, a revolving door for players and not to mention a few disgruntled fans leaving the show as well.
As previously highlighted and explained on this very website, nobody is safe or immune from being sold, used as a bargaining chip or relinquished as a way to secure the club's financial structure. Abdul Fatawu, Jeremy Monga, Harry Souttar, even unpalatable athlete Harry Winks could be on the chopping board.
But, as was said by The Telegraph's John Percy, who can absolutely be believed, the whole squad is essentially up for sale. A fire sale, if you will.
So, which Foxes will remain, who will leave in shame or fair game and who will play another Leicester game? Even yours truly is struggling to wade through the nonsense, speculation and genuine revelations at present.
Fatawu will go. Winks and Oliver Skipp featuring in League One feels bizarre even beforehand and would look totally surreal. However, if either can help City toward promotion and the East Midlands outfit can afford it, that scenario is acceptable.
Jannik Vestergaard will leave; his contract is being terminated if no suitor is found. Italian centre half Caleb Okoli is one more defender on the list of potential leavers.
Leicester City news on Ben Nelson
Another centre back with a previously unpredictable future Ben Nelson; well, on Friday morning it was hard to predict. Following Fabrizio Romano's input regarding the situation that afternoon, the Englishman's career trajectory is now far more predictable.
🚨🐂 Torino have sent an official bid for Ben Nelson, rejected by Leicester City.

Nelson has told Leicester he wishes to leave and has turned down a new contract offer at the club with only one year remaining on his current deal.

Serie A side Torino have reportedly made an official bid for the 22-year-old. That bid was supposedly declined by the King Power hierarchy.
However, the player reportedly informed his employers since boyhood that he desires a transfer away from Leicestershire. In addition to those factors, Nelson officially rejected a new contract offer from the club, according to the claims made by Romano.
To see the academy graduate attempt to jump ship at such a tumultuous time will undoubtedly disappoint some Foxes supporters. Although, with respect, the defender evidently feels his future is best served elsewhere despite the path laid out for him in LE2; Manchester United and Chelsea are apparently admirers too.
This latest development underscores the precarious nature of the current squad as management continue to reshape the roster amid ongoing financial considerations. Just how many more homegrown talents will seek greener pastures before the transfer window finally slams shut?!
