Leicester City Football Club's board have been rightly savaged by national and local media outlets. Journalists, and bloggers like us, took aim at the Foxes ownership and their executives because of neglecence, incompetence, covering of the truth and the fairly disgusting treatment of now former manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The struggling, suffering and stumbling City board were totally and utterly lambasted by mainstream media, local news agencies and informed bloggers such as ourselves. Why? The ownership and their executives have endured a nosedive since gloriously lifting the FA Cup. That great day at Wembley appears to have belied failings, negligence and even cover ups by the LCFC powers-that-be (failing to be honest or open with fans for up to three years).
The fairly disgusting treatment of team manager Ruud van Nistelrooy was hard to watch and cover as a writer as well. As the City faithful, we have been brought up to conduct ourselves and business whilst respecting players and staff better than that! If you are not aware, the Dutchman, apparently politely and understandably, requested talks with his superiors roughly a month ago. He'd even mentioned a lack of communication before that time. Which is another unacceptable David Brent-esque factor of how not to run an organisation. I know Jon Rudkin keeps a tight lid on things - but this is ridiculous!
Let me tell you, as a member of the Blue Army fan base - we are not impressed! I would imagine owner and The King Power International Group operator Aiyawatt 'Khun Top' Srivaddhanaprabha will be feeling the summer heat from supporters unless things seem to drastically ameliorate over preseason. I wouldn't bet on it though! Unfortunately, huge points deductions are said to be incoming due to aforementioned borderline or fully blown unlawful carelessness over the previous three, four or more years.
"Ruud van Nistelrooy leaves Leicester City – he was treated appallinglyJohn Percy, Telegraph
Dutch manager was set up to fail by an anonymous board, financial restrictions and players who refused to buy into his high standards."
It's not just me to take aim at LCFC bosses either. Outlets such as The Telegraph and Leicester Mercury also made revealing and accusatory comments:
"RvN’s reign will ultimately be remembered as a disaster, not just for the record-setting run of bad results and shambolic performances, but for the poor running of the club around him."Jordan Blackwell, LCFC Live
