Leicester City manager Steve Cooper has predicted more good days than bad ones to come for the Foxes under his direction. The Welshman had managed to win over further members of the Blue Army recently following wins against Southampton and Bournemouth. Yet a worrying loss to an improved but not overwhelming Nottingham Forest side unnecessarily set back the team and the boss somewhat when they could have impressed further. So why is the ex-Forest head coach optimistic about City's prospects after the recent frustrating defeat? And is Cooper correct in his assessment?

Meanwhile, during Cooper's press conference ahead of the trip north to face Manchester United, the LCFC gaffer spoke of other intriguing footballing factors. In spite of difficulties against Forest and the need to return to winning ways, he does have the intension of rotating his starting line-up for the Red Devils fixture. Due to the recent bump in the road versus the Tricky Trees, is the 44-year-old right to switch some of his best players around? Is the Carabao Cup worthy of serious investment of personnel and efforts with Premier League status on a cliff edge?

Cooper predicts advancements at Leicester City Football Club

I like to think I am at the forefront of dismissing the nonsensical rubbish occasionally spouted by players and managers in interviews and on social media. Fan bases would simply much prefer focus, and for footballers to be in the moment. Dropping annoying, template-appearing clichés such as 'we go again' and other nonsense is also preferable.

So, considering I have that general stance, am I buying Cooper's prosperity prediction for the east Midlanders? No, not really. I am not, however, one of the Leicester fans currently advocating for his dismissal either. I think he, or anyone else given the great opportunity to manage LCFC, must be given a change once in the hot seat.

Although, I didn't support the choice of Cooper when he was installed. Yet there isn't an abundance of managers who have kept sides up as he did with the City Ground outfit. Indeed, that my own internal conflict when coming to terms with him joining. But what are his most recent expectations for the Foxes' future?:

"The squad is continuing to adapt to the "tweaks and ideas" he has implemented since taking charge: 'We just want to become a really strong and competitive Premier League team. That comes with time and delivering when it counts. You have to be seen to be making progress, even when the results aren't what you want. We will have more good days than bad days when we get our identity and our way right.'"

Rotation

According to BBC Sport, Cooper has 'not ruled out' making wholesale changes for the United game in the League Cup. The home squad will undoubtedly be widely altered as well. Leicester's manager made the following comments:

"He did not rule out making changes to his team because the Foxes have two away games this week: 'We have another game at Ipswich on Saturday. It is times like this where it is good to have a squad. We will need to utilise it over the week.' He added that "full focus" is on taking "one game at a time"'."
