Some you win, and some you lose. That's certainly the case when considering the transfer business that transpired at King Power Stadium over the previous few years in particular. Although, every club in the world, even the richest and most successful, have a litany of failed signings plaguing their historical books.
In reality, we know the Foxes are actually one of the few teams in existence who hit the absolute jackpot with regard to transactions. Their famous group of signings from a decade ago which assembled to win the Premier League title was miraculous. It was never done before, and probably won't be repeated.
Nevertheless, the LCFC roster still contains one or two players who shouldn't have been signed to begin with. Certainly those footballers among us should have been sold too, and now hopefully will be offloaded at the earliest stage available. Not to mention those who could have been success stories but didn't have the luck or enjoy favourable circumstances in order to succeed on Filbert Way.
Maybe it will be a surprise to some, yet I would place Harry Souttar in that last category. Especially when thinking of the Championship, the Australia international could have made it at Leicester. Though it wasn't to be. But now Leicester might perhaps be able to sell this unwanted signing as his former club Sheffield United eye a transfer.
Leicester City may be able to sell unwanted signing Harry Souttar with Sheffield United interested
The sad thing here is that Souttar didn't fulfil his potential; at least with the Foxes, anyway. However, the original £15 million fee (which could have risen to a whopping £20m with add-ons) also makes me want to cry!
Luckily, the Blades desire a reunion with the centre back. An initial January loan move is suggested below; City would be wise to include an obligation to buy.
