Reports are suggesting that Leicester City will have an influx of £10m in their bank account to put towards transfers this summer.
During their peak in the Premier League, £10m would have been splashed in the blink of an eye, with this uncontrollable spending contributing to the Foxes tumbling all the way down to League One, right now.
Therefore, the worry will be whether Leicester can spend that money wisely, as they go about making a team that can compete at the very top of the third tier.
The players Leicester have already been linked with
If they want experienced League One players, they should look no further than snapping up Archie Collins, as the soon-to-be former Peterborough United midfielder has a whopping 174 third-tier appearances next to his name.
Known at Posh for being both calm on the ball, but also combative in a challenge, Leicester would be able to land his services for free, as he is available on a free transfer when his London Road contract expires next month.
This would be a shrewd acquisition, and one that doesn't break the bank when trying to build a capable team at the level.
On the contrary, adding in Lorent Tolaj would come at a steep cost, you imagine.
Off the back of just scoring 22 goals in 38 games in all competitions, Tolaj's red-hot form nearly pushed Plymouth Argyle into the playoff positions at the last minute.
Costing £1.2m to obtain last summer, before exploding into life in Devon, it would surely take a heftier amount to tempt the Pilgrims into parting ways, with Football League World speculating that he is a £8-£10m-calibre talent on his own.
Leicester do need to stock up on firepower, with Patson Daka and Jordan Ayew tired relics now at the King Power, but the Midlands giants might be better placed to give this young star a chance in attack, over forking out significant wads of cash for Tolaj.
Leicester could gift this young star more chances
Despite the constant doom and gloom at the King Power last season, it's well-known at this point that the Foxes have an esteemed academy set-up.
Jeremy Monga, at only 17, managed to grab three goal contributions in the hustle and bustle of Championship action this campaign just gone, and off the back of collecting the Academy Player of the Season accolade for 2025/26, Lorenz Hutchinson will be desperate for his own formative first-team rise.
The 18-year-old attacker was a jaw-dropping talent to watch for the U18s, before he was bumped up to the U21 picture, with a staggering 15 goals and five assists collected from just 15 games.
Going on to bag four goals from 11 U21 appearances, too, his route to the first team ranks looks to be ready-made, already, with Leicester's fall to League One perhaps fast-tracking his surge into the senior picture.

Whichever route Leicester takes here, a gamble is involved, with Tolaj potentially going down as a big transfer misfire, or Hutchinson just isn't cut out for the demands of the first team.
With other faces such as Louis Page constantly garnering praise from the youth system, too, it's clear something is in the water at the King Power in this regard, with Hutchinson the next homegrown sensation to blossom, if you had to tip a starlet to succeed.
