The transfer window provided plenty of LCFC-related content and surprises. And that didn't just relate to players the East Midlanders sold, loaned or signed. No. Many other ex-City stars and fringe personnel were on the move too. Some more famour and infamous than others. For two examples, a pair of old Leicester strikers made significant switches in the twilight of their respective careers.
On Monday, news emerged of LCFC icon Jamie Vardy switching to Cremonese in Serie A on a free transfer. We will, of course, keep a keen eye on Vards' exploits in the 'City of Violins'. In addition to Vardy's big transfer to Italy, a one-time Leicester City cult hero has reunited with a former Foxes manager who won a maiden cup for the Leicestershire team. We wish them all good luck in their new endeavours.
Anyway, the second player in question didn't really ever manage to fulfil his potential at King Power Stadium. Nonetheless the centre forward, who also played on the wing or as a support striker on occasions, is fondly remembered by the Blue Army fan base for playing with a smile on his face. Not to mention scoring a few important goals. So, what's the score?
Leicester City cult hero Kelechi Iheanacho reunites with former Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers
By the way, I am all too familiar with the feeling that both Iheanacho and Rodgers are polarising figures on Filbert Way. Firstly, the former should have netted far more than he did. The ex-Manchester City man was a slight let down.
Meanwhile Rodgers was overly stubborn (zonal marking and unsatisfactory set-piece defending, among other issues) and ended on a slightly sour not. But he lifted Leicester's first FA Cup as gaffer. And that matters!
✍️ 🇳🇬 Celtic Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Kelechi Iheanacho on a one-year deal, subject to international clearance, with the club having the option of a further year.#WelcomeKelechi | #CelticFC🍀

Iheanacho's cup Semi-Final valiance was vital as well. The two are now back together in Scotland.
