Before the Norwich City clash, some Leicester City supporters were even dreading a trip to the relegation favourites' Carrow Road ground. Typically the Blue Army would be up for a game like that; the Foxes fan base ordinarily highly anticipates any match. That antipathy and reluctance is, or now was, a deep and painful indictment of mismanagement on Filbert Way.
Who's at fault for the ill-feeling at King Power Stadium? Almost 100 per cent of the East Midlanders' problems can be laid at three doors: chairman Aiyawatt (Khun Top) Srivaddhanaprabha, director of football Jon Rudkin, along with Martyn Glover, the so-called head of senior recruitment.
However, and on a much lighter note, LCFC came from behind to defeat the Canaries (thanks to the Leicestershire Gods!). Subsequently, and startlingly to some, the hush-hush and aloofness was finally, apparently broken at the club. This is due to Top, at last, making an admittance of communication errors.
The unfortunate situation led to a fractured relationship between the organisation and the vast majority of its faithful. The latest update is a potential boost. Now one or two of City's rivals must be dreading the end of the international break with a possibly revitalise Leicester team to combat. So the LE2 side enter a now-or-never period and must capitalize!
A now-or-never period which Leicester City must capitalize on
City have been injected with a kind of footballing stimulus. Promotion is still the aim of the team; via Playoffs or a now unlikely automatic spot. But which outfits are on the upcoming schedule?
Over the next five games, LCFC meet Stoke City first. A win against the third-placed Potters would be ideal. Next up are relegated Southampton; a six-pointer.
Then it's Sheffield United; followed by a derby with Derby. Two points separate Marti Cifuentes' men with subsequent opponents Bristol City. A winnable run in my view!
