Leicester City are, somewhat unexpectedly, predicted by some to win the 2025/26 Championship title under new manager Marti Cifuentes. Considering City's financial problems and potential points deduction, this is a bit of a shock for those of us who are fairly well-informed. However, there is no denying the Foxes squad's quality in its current state.

Though stars are forecasted to depart, sometimes for a lot less than they are worth. Therefore Leicester must sign appropriately skilled replacements. If that happens, there is clearly a chance for LCFC to attain automatic promotion. Yet within this prediction model, we are wondering which club is expected to come second in England's tier two.

Football League World have asked artifical intelligent to predict the final standings of the table. The results were interesting, with LCFC crowned hypothetical champions. The last time the East Midlands side were relegated, they won the league convincingly under former boss Enzo Maresca of course.

"A big call straight off the bat from AI, as they believe the 25/26 Championship title winners will be Leicester City."

This time, the King Power team might have a worse overall roster to pick from. Though excitement is building following Cifuentes' introduction. He appears a rather astute choice at this stage - that hypothesis could be tested to the limit. City lifted the trophy back in 2013/14 as well.

Which club is forecasted to come second in second division?

Saints fans will be pleased to hear that they have been nominated for runners-up. New Southampton gaffer Will Still, 32, will do well to realise this expectation. Although, the St Mary's squad is relatively strong.

Assumptions for eventual relegations are intriguing too. First of all, Portsmouth are predicted to land in 22nd position, figuratively ensuring their demise.

Preston North End would too drop down to English Football League One with Pompey. While Norwich City may be bottom.
