There was a generally pleasant surprise for Leicester City Football Club and their Blue Army fan base on Thursday morning. And I must admit that the news was unexpected on the whole, but not a shock at all. Overall, the majority of LCFC supporters are currently rejoicing as the ownership announce a welcomed departure. A seemingly important executive has left the side. But who could be next to go? We also ask: Are things now changing for the better on Filbert Way, with unwanted elements on and off the field of play starting to exit the East Midlands organisation? Allow us to detail and explain the situation for our Foxes readership all over the world.

Why was Susan Whelen not wanted at King Power Stadium?

There was a time when Chief Executive Officer Whelen was kind of celebrated at LCFC. Well, as much as someone in the shadows can be appreciated. It must be noted that she did a lot of good.

The period in question? 2016; everyone and anyone associated with the Leicestershire team were praised as the Premier League was clinched.

Though the years afterwards, especially following the maiden FA Cup triumph, were messy when taking everything into account. Whelen, and certainly Director of Football Jon Rudkin, were rightly blamed for Leicester's decline.

Although chairman Aiyawatt 'Khun Top' Srivaddhanaprabha should also be similarly blamed. His mishandling here and in Thailand is a clear and present danger to LCFC, when he could be a positive asset.

Leicester City fans rejoice after executive 'steps down' from club operations - but who's next to go from the board?

Fans I know, whom are aware of the situation, shed no tears when Whelen's exit was reported. Neither did most members of the faithful on social media. Stagnation and ridicule was too much for some Leicester loyalists to take - rightly so!

The official notice stated that Srivaddhanaprabha will take over in an acting capacity. Hopefully the evidently detrimental Rudkin is next out of the door.
