Leicester City fans must face a longer relationship than desired, certainly with Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha (chairman Top), if not with Jon Rudkin as well. For years the Foxes fan base have not appreciated the input of Rudkin. Though, at one point, he was apparently an important and seemingly quite successful part of the East Midlands club: considering Premier League title and FA Cup triumphs.

Yet he's currently the most hated sporting man in Leicestershire; reportedly feeling unsafe walking it streets alone at night. Reasons for LCFC fans generally detest the former director of football are legitimate grievances.

There were successes, yes, though City's calamitous downfall and plight is unforgivable and does land directly on Rudkin's desk. His decisions have been so negatively impactful, some feel he became tired or bored with the LE2 team and just did whatever came to mind first for an easy life.

Alternatively, he is totally incompetent. Furthermore, everyone saw that former CEO Susan Whelan was edged out by the person known as Top's right hand man.

What will undoubtedly upset the blue Army is that there is no sign of the chairman selling: he wishes to keep the club and place it back on the same platform that his late, great father, Khun Vichai, put it on. Meanwhile, Rudkin was promoted to chief football officer; even though he should have been sacked, if not demoted.

This means the former LCFC Academy coach will likely have at least one more year at King power Stadium. The ownership, along with their inadvisable advisors, will want to see if they were right to switch his job title and what will transpire.

The King Power hierarchy are unlikely to remove Rudkin in 2026, and will probably not allow him to leave, so to speak, this summer. That is what City supporters must come to terms with, digest and endure for at least another year, unfortunately.
