An in-house favourite has now been named for an important Foxes role by Leicester City-specialist media. Meanwhile City are finally being tipped to make an appropriate outfield signing to fill an upcoming gap in their attack. Unfortunately this update comes amid speculation from the highest source that a domino affecting the Foxes will now fall.
A top-rated Fox will potential leave the East Midlands outfit. Which prospective Premier League transfer should mean the unnamed LCFC star player is on his way out of King Power Stadium? Are we worried about the potential exit? Which signings could the Filbert Way club target? And which Leicester forward might perhaps be repositioned? Let's get to it.
Favourite named for Foxes role but probable fan reaction to be ambivalent or even unsatisfied with option
Eberechi Eze, Crystal Palace's supremely talented playmaker, is set to leave for Arsenal. That is transfer expert Fabrizio Romano's expectation, anyway. This news could well expedite Bilal El Khannouss' mooted switch to Selhurst Park.
If LCFC choose not to complete a replacement acquisition or loan, they must find a replacement for the Moroccan from the existing squad. On Thursday, Leicester Mercury published a list of four possible candidates who are, of course, already on the roster.
First of all, Louis Page was mentioned; I'd certainly consider him a wonderful City prospect. Although he's arguably one for the future.
Next was Will Alves, who head coach Marti Cifuentes rates as a central creator. While Alves feels rather slight, he definitely deserves a chance whilst in a lesser division.
Jeremy Monga was mentioned too. I guess he could be startlingly good anywhere, yet may wish to master his wing craft.
"Right now, the Ghanaian veteran will be the favourite to take over, at least in the short term."Jordan Blackwell, LCFC Live
The final choice is Jordan Ayew. Multiple Mercury writers have implied his prowess as a support striker. I'm unconvinced at present - even in the Championship.
Leicester City tipped to finally make necessary forward signing
While El Khannouss going is a problem, it would be worse in the EPL. LCFC haven't been linked to No.10s of late. Irrespective, hope still remains regarding incomings:
"City’s business has so far been limited but a sale of more than £30m should open up the club’s finances enough to finally bring in an outfield signing."LCFC Live
