One terrifically exciting Leicester City winger has been on everyone's minds of late. That man is Abdul Fatawu. The Ghana international had a mediocre match against Preston North End. Yet his illustrious play versus Sheffield Wednesday in the opening fixture - as well as a wonderful, match-winning goal in the Charlton Athletic clash - mark Fatawu out as one of the Championship's standout talents.

Meanwhile, and to that end, the 21-year-old is receiving plaudits from every footballing area possible. And one of the most noticeable shout outs came from a countryman who is a current Premier League star at Bournemouth as well. Yeah that's right, the Cherries! The equally gifted Antoine Semenyo, also a Ghanaian, is an EPL favourite at the moment. Evidently he had positive words for his National Side teammate.

Though this piece actually mainly concerns another City wideman, Stephy Mavididi. Leicester manager Marti Cifuentes has revealed an injury boost ahead of the upcoming Birmingham City game at King Power Stadium on Friday. Mavididi was absent from the Charlton contest on Saturday afternoon. A muscular issue kept the 27-year-old out of that one. Although, he should be back for the Blues outing.

Antoine Semenyo on Abdul Fatawu

"Too good" were the words posted by the Bournemouth attacker on Fatawu's Instagram account. The response was subsequent to the amazing goal underneath this paragraph:

Look away now Birmingham supporters! They will not like this report one bit. That's because Mavididi scored three past them in 2023/24 and celebrated one finish slightly provocatively. The Derby-born wingman eventually made the Championship Team of the season too.

"...we thought it was very important that he’s ready for the Birmingham game and hopefully that will be the case."
Cifuentes

As I said earlier, Mavididi didn't play versus Charlton at the weekend. But Cifuentes reassured fans in the Blue Army following the final whistle. The omission appears to have been precautionary, and the forward will likely feature against Chris Davies' team.
