Leicester City are in a slight bit of form at the moment, following two wins and a draw in the English Football League Championship. While those demanding fans among us in the Blue Army would prefer to have obtained nine points from the three matches - this is a start. I say this because City eyed promotion back to the Premier League from their current tier two residency at the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
Not to mention that throwing away a two-goal lead versus a beatable Bristol City was avoidable and irritating. Though, as I say, no losses in three (LCFC arguably should not have been defeated by Sheffield United, either) is a very good return. The run has probably saved manager Marti Cifuentes' job as well after his role was said to be threatened (finances permitting).
A plethora of fitness, suspension and other issues marred recent preparations, along with matchday squad selections as well. To be fair to Cifuentes, this was and is significant; especially when considering the quality of exhiled stars such as Harry Winks. The increasingly influential Aaron Ramsey was also suspended befroe he was injured again too. Elsewhere, the amount of sidelined Foxes is mounting.
So what's the latest on players like Jeremy Monga, Boubakary Soumare, Harry Souttar, Victor Kristiansen and Caleb Okoli?
Leicester City injury news and a few possible return dates for Jeremy Monga, Boubakary Soumare, Harry Souttar, Aaron Ramsey, Victor Kristiansen and Caleb Okoli?
Jeremy Monga
The precocious winger is suffering from a muscular issue. Cifuentes revealed that his player could face his own former team Queens Park Rangers.
Aaron Ramsey
The attacking midfielder may be in contention for QPR or the subsequent fixture.
Boubakary Soumare
The Frenchman requires more tests but is out for an indeterminate period.
"With Bouba, it will take a bit longer. The tests with the specialists showed us he has a small issue in his knee that will require some weeks. How many weeks, it’s difficult to say."Leicester Mercury
There are no new updates on Souttar, Kristiansen nor Okoli. Cifuentes claims Winks is available.
