After four consecutive stalemates in the Championship, promotion-seeking Leicester City produced a fine win in Wales. Swansea City 'entertained' the visiting Foxes, but probably wished they hadn't. A more medieval greeting for their English cousins was clearly the preferred welcome for the Welsh side.
In all seriousness, LCFC pretty much had it their own way on the day. The fixture's statistical overview showed that the East Midlands team were the more ferocious at Swansea.com Stadium. However, the Swans were just as combative in the tackle as their C'ship rivals.
Essentially, you could argue that two or three Leicester players were the difference on the day. Goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk and centre back Jannik Vestergaard were both outstanding versus SCFC.
However, I believe Jordan James is the catalyst for an improved and more intense midfield alongside top-level defensive-minded midfielder Harry Winks. That central - in more ways than one - partnership is certainly flourishing.
James has added relentless aggression with a significant element of quality in the middle. His endeavour and eye for goal has been missing for years at King Power Stadium and on our travels. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was the only Fox to come close in recent seasons.
Leicester City loan star Jordan James says and does right things as talk of permanent transfer starts
As well as succeeding on the pitch and aiding the team, box-to-box baller James is saying the right things away from the field of play too. City supporters are increasingly taking to the 21-year-old:
"I don't think you could have started in a better way than I have started," he told BBC Radio Leicester.Jordan James
"I genuinely can't believe what is going on at the moment.
"When I hear the fans singing my name, it's seriously what you dream of."
The former Birmingham man is on loan to Leicester; sadly he wasn't signed on a permanent deal. Though rumblings and requests are, encouragingly, emerging. Not to mention James himself stating that this could be his 'home'.
"This fan echoed the feelings of many supporters as he told the club to get the permanent move in place swiftly, with Leicester needing to pay around €5m to sign the youngster as part of the agreement that brough him to the King Power Stadium from Rennes."FLW
And Foxes fans are keen for the Stade Rennais professional to leave Ligue 1 for good and sign for the Leicestershire outfit. Hopefully City bosses are already examining the apparent £4-5million option to buy with intent!
