Leicester lose second defender to surgery after Ben Nelson injury

Unfortunately for Leicester City Football Club, the injuries are beginning to pile up. Only last month, we wrote an article mentioning the plus point that Marti Cifuentes hasn't had to deal with mounting fitness problems. You see, fairly recent former Foxes managers did indeed have a plethora of players unavailable due to knocks, strains and worse - including general operations.

However, it does now appear that the LCFC treatment room will be filled to the brim with sidelined footballers, sad as it is to admit. This also obviously means that the ex-Queens Park Rangers head coach will have an increasingly difficult time selecting the appropriate matchday squads in order to get back to a currently elusive automatic promotion spot. A very unrealistic end goal now; even securing a Playoff place won't be easy.

If you weren't aware, attacking loanee Aaron Ramsey - who is on Filbert Way temporarily thanks to Burnley - is out of action at the moment too. He was becoming someone Cifuentes could rely on in front of goal.

Versus Norwich City, standout centre back Ben Nelson 'seriously' injured his ankle. Meanwhile Caleb Okoli hurt his shoulder and was withdrawn from that game as well.

Goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk is also a doubt for the Stoke City match due to a groin problem. In the meantime, Harry Souttar remains uninvolved.

Victor Kristiansen has seemingly suffered with multiple issues this season (jaw, muscle strain, knee). Although if you ask me, he should have been sold as the standard and innovativeness he offers on the pitch is beyond unsatisfactory. And it's just got worse for the Dane.

Leicester City nightmare worsens as defender Victor Kristiansen has surgery

Kristiansen's latest difficulty appears worse than initially thought. Following a fractured jaw, he has now gone under the knife in an attempt for surgens to resolve a knee complication:

"Second surgery in three months. Been a tough period but next year will be mine for sure."
