We are looking closely at two brand new Leicester City stories this afternoon. One is in relation to the expiring transfer market, and is a conceivably positive Foxes update for once. That's because LCFC manager Marti Cifuentes has essentially promised some signings to the Blue Army fan base.
In addition to that, and even more encouragingly, the former Queens Park Rangers head coach has asked City fans to remain calm. This gives credence to his suggestion that the Leicester supporters have nothing to worry about on that front. We shall see!
Next up are two quite needless yet informing Leicester aspects to cover.
Two pundits clearly don't watch the King Power club closely, or their games, after silly comments or claims emerged recently. And this pair of complete pundits are well-known.
One appears to report on the English Football League more frequently. While the other, the Premier League respectively. Both seemingly, if you ask me, made similar errors. And these mistakes are very transparent as well as easy for Leicester City's Blue Army fan base to dismiss and see through.
Clearly Lee Hendrie and Rio Ferdinand don't watch Leicester City or appreciate nuance after uninformed claims
First of all, Hendrie, who is probably just being sycophantic, believes James Justin was a 'solid' signing for Leeds United. And that LCFC will 'miss him'. I respectfully, and humorously, disagree!
"He's a really good signing for Leeds, a really solid addition to them and Leicester will miss him for sure."Lee Hendrie
Secondly, Ferdinand has 'expressed surprise' that Jamie Vardy hasn't signed for Wrexham. Well, he obviously knows nothing about Vardy and his loyalty to the Foxes. Does the ex-Manchester United man not know the two teams compete in the same division, so that eventuality was never likely?
Leicester City manager promises signings & asks fans for calm
Right, the one you've all been waiting for! It looks as though the (currently) tranquil faithful can expect additions this summer, potentially a striker:
"Asked if there were funds to spend, Cifuentes said at his press conference on Thursday: “There is a possibility to go into the market, yes.Marti Cifuentes, LCFC Live
“The fans can be calm about it (transfers). Despite it being just a few days left, I’m sure they will see the work behind the scenes at the end of this window."
