Leicester City must secure appropriate, fair or even lucrative fees for their up for sale assets over the offseason. If the East Midlanders can achieve this outcome and generally become increasingly diligent, they could finally extract themselves from this dire financial predicament.

Current Transfermarkt data highlights some of the LE2 club's most valuable assets: Abdul Fatawu (€20 million), Caleb Okoli (€9m), Victor Kristiansen (€9m). Young winger Jeremy Monga is said to be valued at £15m by the King Power outfit. Securing high valuations for these individuals, alongside a renewed organisational focus, would ultimately help the Foxes escape the lowly League One division to which they have been resigned.

Chief among the necessary chores this preseason is for the recruitment department to identify inexpensive or undervalued talent to acquire via loan, without a transfer fee or for a relatively nominal sum. What the Leicestershire team cannot afford to do (to include a fitting pun) is to allow potentially world-class players such as Abdul Fatawu to depart for a relative pittance.

The same principle applies to the exceptionally talented Monga, although a tribunal might eventually be employed to determine his value should a departure to Arsenal manifest. The Coventry-born starlet's profile should provide necessary leverage.

Leicester City's cutprice Abdul Fatawu

Meanwhile, the only organisation currently expressing concrete interest in Fatawu (Besiktas) appear desperate or only willing to pay significantly less than half of his market valuation or his reported release clause. That specific stipulation sits at a reported £30m; the expected bidding war has failed to materialise as of this date with his World Cup appearance pending.

"Besiktas make reported bid for €20m-rated Leicester City forward

According to Turkish outlet Milliyet, Besiktas are pushing to sign Leicester City forward Abdul Fatawu."

This leaves City in a precarious position where they may ultimately be forced to accept a lesser figure. However, entertaining a bid of merely €15m for the Ghana man feels like a grievous undervaluation of a player who often stood out and scored some worldies at King Power Stadium.
