Somewhat of a perfect storm is brewing for Leicester City Football Club at the moment. Several negative factors have seemingly combined to create a nightmarish scenario for the once Fearless Foxes. While we never quit, we also don't seem to be able to catch a break right now either!
From on high in the board room to the depths of the treatment room, ineptitude, unforeseen problems and bad luck are intertwining in gobsmaking fashion on Filbert Way. First of all, you have The King Power International Group's (LCFC's ownership) monetary and rule breaking accusations.
The manager, Marti Cifuentes, is now massively under pressure and figuratively looking down the barrel of a gun. The team is performing badly, or at least incredibly inconsistently for their assumed quality (which we all apparently overhyped). Meanwhile a points deduction, fine and/or a transfer ban hangs over the East Midlanders.
That's quite the footballing rap sheet. Something has to give in LE2 soon! But let's try to understand and prepare after the latest fitness reports before we get ahead of ourselves.
Leicester City issues deepen following most recent updates
Wout Faes is the newest addition to the sidelined group. Though prior to assessing the Belgium international, let's discover some existing return dates when applicable.
Firstly, centre back Caleb Okoli. The Italian won't make his comeback until as long as Christmas; he could be back even later, Cifuentes revealed.
Jakub Stolarczyk may actually feature versus Derby County. Although Asmir Begovic hasn't done too much wrong whilst in his team-mate's place. Harry Souttar could join the Pole in the upcoming matchday squad.
Ben Nelson is set for team training again, in a boost for Leicester. Victor Kristiansen and Aaron Ramsey respectively appear some way off returning.
"Faes could recover in time to play at Pride Park next week, even if it means playing in a protective mask. Although, City boss Marti Cifuentes did say the Belgian was also suffering from dizziness."
While Faes's face needed stitching due to a clash against Sheffield United. Though Leicester Mercury claim he could return for Derby. Only one CB is fully fit in Jannik Vestergaard.
