Leicester City have apparently chosen a January transfer target to improve their midfield. We actually know for a fact that this particular player will strength the Foxes in the middle of the park. And it is absolutely certain that fans will approve of this potential signing. So who is this mystery option for the King Power outfit? And is the signing likely or unlikely?

In addition to examining LCFC speculation on this Tuesday afternoon, we also look at another story. It seems that a crucial role has now emerged for a specific re-emerging City star. In fact, his place in the team may actually be cemented with extra responsibility. The onus is on - even though he was occasionally unwanted under a couple of previous Foxes managers. However, Boubakary Soumare is enjoying his Filbert Way renaissance. And we definitely need him at present!

Boubakary Soumare in the thick of it

Classy midfielder Harry Winks is currently sidelined through injury. While his former Tottenham Hotspur teammate Oliver Skipp, also talented, is seemingly not in boss Ruud van Nistelrooy's favour.

Wilfred Ndidi sadly has a problem as well. The Nigeria international was substituted during the recent clash against Brighton & Hove Albion due to a new issue. Van Nistelrooy expects to have the vital stalwart back in no time, he said. Although, if Ndidi is out for a prolonged or even a short period, trouble could brew.

All this means there is burden on the revitalised Soumare. He is becoming integral to LCFC: keen tackling, vision and neat, balletic movement through the centre of the pitch. The 25-year-old is also what I would describe as a developing City cult hero. Let's hope he's up to the task consistently; sadly he's suspended for one match.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ironically on Leicester City's radar

Leicester shouldn't have sold Dewsbury-Hall, in my opinion. Yet I understand the reasoning. Though KDH could supposedly make a dramatic exit from Chelsea and a subsequent comeback at the King Power. I consider his eventual return destined:

"Leicester City could make a sensational move to re-sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on loan from Chelsea in January, sources have told Football Insider.

The midfielder joined the Blues from Leicester in July, but they have been alerted to his availability and are expected to explore the potential of a return."
