A forgotten Fox is almost ready to make his comeback, according to Leicester City manager Marti Cifuentes. The ex-Queens Park Rangers boss gave Foxes fans a slight boost in the week when revealing that a long-time injured centre back could be on the way back in no time. In fact, previous expectations were that the defender in question could have perhaps been out of action for a lot longer. The festive period or even the New Year were previously mentioned as potential return dates.
Although it appears that City are lucky enough to welcome the long-term absentee back sooner than first thought. LCFC were formerly known as a club that suffered more than their fair share of fitness problems. I would certainly have to concur and confirm that this absolutely was the case prior. But now the King Power outfit's physios and treatment department seem to have a handle on that issue now, thankfully.
Whether or not the player in question is to truly be utilised by Cifuentes, in spite of the boss's claim that possibilities exist, is up for interpretation or debate in my opinion. However, if fit and able, the Australia international should definitely be given a chance. Albeit the League Cup, in which LCFC's involvement was abruptly ended, would have been the ideal competition for the centre half to be tried.

Nevertheless, Leicester's supposedly £20million man may simply get a transfer instead after the prospective upcoming appearance following injury. What's the score with Harry Souttar?
Leicester City's £20m defender Harry Souttar might be transferred out soon after apparent pending return
Cifuentes recently confirmed that Souttar is almost ready to train with his teammates once again. Admittedly, I just can't see the six-foot-seven, towering CB back in matchday squads.
Yet he wasn't ever afforded ample opportunities to prove himself at LCFC. Irrespective of my view, The Star claim Sheffield United may eye up the Aussie once more:
"Sheffield United will continue to monitor Harry Souttar’s progress after injury after a big fitness update on their former loan star defender. The Australian international was a big hit at Bramall Lane last term before a disastrous Achilles injury cut short his time in South Yorkshire.
Souttar subsequently returned to parent club Leicester City to begin the long rehabilitation process after going under the knife, with initial expectations that he would be ruled out until around the turn of the year."
