If we trust reports on the subject, Leicester City are apparently set to lose millions on a deal for one of their best performing stars over the previous eight years. As potential Wilfred Ndidi transfer nears, are the Foxes about to be taken advantage of financially? What on earth is up at the troubled King Power Stadium now?!
Why are the Foxes in this mess?
According to the latest on the Filbert Way outfit, City are supposedly ready to lose Ndidi. Although, the Foxes may also lose millions more in transfer fees even though the Nigeria international has a release clause in place. Why? Once again, incompetence from the top of the King Power organisation, namely Susan Whelen, Aiyawatt 'Khun Top' Srivaddhanaprabha and Jon Rudkin, has trickled done.
Major issues have derived from their ineptitude which are now clearly affecting the team. They include probable points deductions due to Profit and Sustainability screw ups and the like. Consequently, richer clubs are circling for LCFC's most prized assets knowing full well that the East Midlanders must sell, pretty much, in order to survive at all - even at this lesser standard.
Leicester City could be set to lose millions of pounds on a necessary deal as Wilfred Ndidi transfer apparently nears
"Ndidi has also been linked with the likes of Everton, Manchester United, Besiktas and Monaco."LCFC Live
Why do City need to sell players like Ndidi? He still commands - what we assumed was - a fair price. Not to mention his skills and influence diminishing slightly over recent seasons, especially in the Premier League.
If LCFC wish to cash in, now is the obvious time to do so. Naturally they originally paid approximately £17 million for the 28-year-old. Therefore the apparent £9m stipulation would still mean a loss of eight mill' overall.
"Amid Leicester’s concerns financially, EFL Analysis understands, as per information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, that the Foxes could lose the Nigerian for less than his release clause next month. This presents Leicester with a huge ‘problem’, as clubs won’t press forward with a deal knowing that City are struggling with their finances."EFL Analysis
But his service to the club was invaluable on occasion. Nevertheless, certain sides won't pay that amount: they wish to, aggressively, hold out until City are forced to take a lower number.
