Supporters of Leicester City Football Club are beginning to become increasingly nervous on the eve of a new campaign. The Foxes find themselves in England's tier three for only the second occasion in their history.
But why are LCFC fans becoming anxious about the upcoming season when things seem to be gradually improving on Filbert Way? In spite of four friendly wins from five with no losses, the transfer situation remains a significant concern for the Blue Army fan base.
That situation has been intensified by the apparent fact that City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha (known widely as "Top") is actively seeking possible suitors for the organisation. LCFC is now up for sale, if rumours are correct; casting a shadow over the entire club and rendering almost every plan uncertain.
This means requisite signings may not arrive at King Power Stadium as swiftly or as substantively as many would hope - if at all! Though boss Russell Martin remains confident (or perhaps desperately determined) that he will secure the appropriate recruits to strengthen 'his' squad.
Nevertheless, the former Southampton, Rangers, MK Dons and Swansea City head coach will be all too aware that the evolving situation in LE2 will negatively affect his planning, due diligence and recruitment work. Even the ex-Scotland international himself was viewed with suspicion by City fans prior to arriving, yet he won over many detractors and the unconvinced almost immediately through rigorous training methods and clear competence.
New Leicester City signings?
Evidently, it appears as though Martin may yet get his wish for further additions, even if one arrives on a temporary loan and the other joins on a free transfer. According to reports from trusted In The Know accounts (rather than major mainstream media outlets), Leicester are right on the verge of completing two new signings.

Firstly, Christian McFarlane is ostensibly joining the club on loan from Manchester City, with confirmation coming due to the young defender apparently being spotted at Leicester's Seagrave training ground putting pen to paper on his documents this morning. A highly-rated prospect coming through the elite Citizens Academy, McFarlane offers composure and the technical quality at left back that aligns perfectly with the possession-based style Martin is eager to implement.
Elijah Adebayo is reportedly at Seagrave today for media shoots ahead of his signing.

The second arrival looks set to be seasoned striker Elijah Adebayo, who has also supposedly been spotted at the training complex carrying out media duties ahead of his official unveiling. Adebayo should supply a physical presence, proven EFL scoring ability and valuable experience of competing at this level, and even 10 Premier League goals in one campaign.
