There are three Leicester City stories to discuss in this article. Two relate to a transfer speculation that appears to be becoming transfer news, the other update to address regards injuries or absences.
First of all, LCFC are back in the transfer market. The Foxes have dipped their toes in the hope of finding at least one suitable striker.
New manager Russell Martin actually desires more than one centre forward, but this writer imagines he will be disappointed in that respect. However, Leicester chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha must absolutely commission the purchase of at least one addition in that role.
Martin confirmed to local reporters that the East Midlanders are actually trying to prioritise getting a central attacker through the door at King Power Stadium. That will only happen if Top (the owner's widely used nickname) gets his chequebook out - if cheques are still used in football or business on the whole!
Elsewhere, fans now know why promising, youthful Fox Jake Evans was absent for the Malaga game. That friendly finished 3-3, with Tommy Neil, Louis Page and Woyo Coulibaly all getting on the scoresheet.
Three Leicester City situations
The visitors to Spain were almost victors, but their opponents managed to score in the dying embers of what was an non-competitive fixture. Evans was not playing because he previously took a knock, and was left out purely as a precaution.

Meanwhile, some eagle-eyed Foxes supporters have noticed that Tom Wilson-Brown has not been with the first-team squad during their time in mainland Europe. He was left at home because he may be on the verge of arranging a transfer out of the club, while Evans is still considered quite an important young member of the roster.
Tom Wilson-Brown is now another likely departure, which will leave a bigger hole in City's centre-back area. Although he had only been tipped for possible involvement this season, with other centre halves like Caleb Okoli, Harry Souttar and Ben Nelson all linked with moves away, the youngster may no switch sides; Martin confirmed the club have received formal offers for Wilson-Brown.

The final story to discuss is outspoken Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder's attempts to secure Foxes defender Souttar; the Australia international has apparently agreed to join the Blades, according to a well-placed 'In The Know' LCFC account. The ostensible fee will be in the region of £9 million, including performance-related add-ons – news that will no doubt go down very well indeed among the Bramall Lane support.
