I have two matters relating to Leicester City Football Club to explain and give opinions on, once again, on this pretty miserable December day in England's East Midlands. But, regardless of the weather - we'll always cover the Foxes!
So, to that end, let's not waste any time before discussing the LCFC star who is expected to be dropped or rested for the EFL Championship match versus Bristol City. Not to mention the Fox predicted to come into the side, as he so regularly does in this very instance.
In addition to looking at that story, we have the Foxes' FA Cup draw to talk about. Which team have City been drawn against in the Third Round of the prestigious English competition?
Leicester City to meet Cheltenham Town in the 2025/26 FA Cup 3rd Round
Minnows up and down the country are getting ready for Premier League and tier two outfits to enter the cup. Ties take place on and around the weekend of January 10.
City were drawn against Cheltenham Town. The King Power side will travel to EV Charger Points Stadium for the clash. The Gloucestershire team are currently competing in English Football League (League) Two.
Some slightly notable players have featured for both organisations. They include: Barry Hayles, Callum Wright, Aaron Ramsey, Elvis Hammond, Bobby De Cordova-Reid and James Wesolowski. Meanwhile Martin Allen was once (separately) head coach for the two clubs.
Ricardo Pereira may be withdrawn for Bristol City game
Leicester Mercury have forecast one significant alteration to LCFC manager Marti Cifuentes' starting lineup for the Bristol trip. City head to the South West knowing that this is their last chance to mount a realistic promotion bid.
"It means there may only be one change to the team that defeated Derby County on Saturday, with Hamza Choudhury coming in for Ricardo Pereira at right-back, as has happened in all of the previous midweek games so far."
However, the Portuguese's minutes have been closely managed this season. Amid other injury concerns, Hamza Choudhury is expected to start. Though I would continue with the captain.
