On this occasion (Tuesday, December 9), I have two separate stories regarding Leicester City Football Club to bring to the Blue Army's attention. Both of these topics actually concern former Foxes - but I'll hopefully make your visit to our site as informative, pleasurable and as entertaining as always.
First of all, let's speak about James Maddison. "Madders", as he was known on Filbert Way during his approximate five-year stay with the East Midlands outfit, was a fan favourite. The playmaker gave great service to the club in my opinion. However, knowing his God-given ability, Maddison could have actually produced more than he did at King Power Stadium.
Though injury was always a constant worry and, inevitably, an interruption to the seven-time England National Team representative. Regardless of this, what did Maddison reveal about his departure from LCFC during his latest, engineered media appearance? This time he appeared in the sycophantic guest-athlete role on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show.
Subsequent to very briefly discussing the Tottenham Hotspur man, we will move onto the old Leicester player who is said to be moving into the darkside of football. I don't really see this being a predictable, nor simple, transition. Yet an existing nexus to the pinnacle of the game is established.
James Maddison on Spurs switch
Maddison certainly wants to please the fans. And he definitely wants people to know that he intends to please whichever fan base he is connected to. Although, it was his reasoning for exiting City which caught the eye:
"I always just felt and I am not just saying this, I always felt like I was going to be a Tottenham player, and there is genuine meaning beyond that. I am not just saying that because I am at Tottenham now and I am trying to get the fans to love me or whatever. I used to play against Spurs, and I felt like when Eriksen left, there was kind of a little gap for a player like myself."Spurs Web
Leicester FA Cup winner becomes sport agent in retirement
So Jonny Evans is now an agent - OK. I am rather surprised by this. But he's not the first. The Northern Irishman will reportedly partner ex-Manchester United youth Colin Murdock.
"As per journalist Alan Nixon’s Patreon channel, Evans is now poised to become a football agent.Football League World
The Northern Irishman is set to combine with fellow countryman Colin Murdock - a former EFL player himself for the likes of Preston North End and who also came through the Man United system - and who is well-versed in the world of business, having established the Murdock Sports Group in 2011.
Nixon states that due to Evans’ knowledge of United’s youth prospects, he could be a hit in the agency scene."
