One Leicester City star is said to be open to leaving the Foxes this summer. The player in question does have a slight contract release clause which was activated following the King Power club's relegation from the Premier League once more.
This particular midfielder supposedly previously rejected Manchester United and Everton when he was last expected to depart Leicestershire. However, the Toffees are said to be back in for the 28-year-old who once seemingly had the footballing world at his feet, if you excuse the pun.
Foxes require reinforcements for several areas
City will need a goalkeeper or two to back up Jakub Stolarczyk if No.1 stopper Mads Hermansen does in fact exit Filbert Way. Centre backs are also needed when and if Wout Faes and Conor Coady go.
The midfield is quite stocked to be fair; if Wilfred Ndidi goes, a gap for a combative operator arises. Again with the wings, we are pretty well covered there. A main, competent striker is the prime region needing change.
A goalscoring understudy is prerequisite with Patson Daka's record, too. Although, the Zambia international did prove he can net in the Championship on his day.
Leicester City star open to leaving Foxes after relegation and previously rejecting Manchester United and Everton with Barcelona apparently a formerly interested party
So back to Ndidi, he is the focus of this piece. When Man United were eyeing him almost two years ago, the Nigerian chose to re-sign with the Foxes. I can't see him declining a stay in the Premier League this time.
Yet Ndidi doesn't seem to possess the skills which put him on big six clubs' (and even reportedly Barca's) radar anymore. While he diversified his style into somewhat of a marauder and a scorer, his successful tackling and intercepting have suffered. Albeit his £9million price tag is realistic for a proven EPL substitute.
