Leicester City, whether they stay in the Championship or not, will be facing a summer of major upheaval.
Indeed, it's already been confirmed that Patson Daka will likely move on from the King Power at the end of the season, as his contract is set to expire.
While he has failed to light up the Championship this season, with only three goals from 34 league appearances, this will still be a significant departure to stomach in the summer, considering Daka has been situated in the Midlands since the 2021/22 campaign.
Journalist John Percy has been suggesting, too, that Leicester will be looking to bring in two new strikers to the building in the eventful off-season, with Jordan Ayew potentially chucked to the wayside, as well, to make way for some desperately needed fresh blood.
Who will the former Premier League title winners look to add up top?
Long gone are the days when they would be splashing out £30m on the likes of Ayoze Perez in the attacking department, alongside forking out an audacious £23m on the aforementioned Daka, with current Charlton Athletic marksman Lyndon Dykes looking to be more of a realistic target.
Leicester's supposed interest in Dykes
According to the Daily Mail, Leicester still remain interested in a deal for the EFL nomad, heading into the summer.
Before the Scotsman decided to move to the Addicks in January, after leaving Birmingham City behind, Leicester allegedly held interest in snapping up the forceful 30-year-old.
Both Millwall and the Foxes remain keen on the 49-time Scotland international's services, as per the same report, so there could be a battle on the cards for his signature very soon.
He would be available on a free transfer, after all, as his Charlton contract is only in play until the end of the season, with a promising five goal contributions next to his name at Valley, from only 15 games, showing off a striker who could do a job at the King Power, or the Den.
With a combined tally of 49 goals for his nation, and three clubs he has played for the Championship, also sticking out, Leicester could do far worse than landing Dykes, as they search for immediate replacements for the likes of Daka.
Dykes was even questioned about the possibility of another EFL move, when lining up for Scotland during the break, and the 6-foot-2 marksman remained tight-lipped about what his immediate future looks like.
He said, rather candidly: "Really enjoying my time there. The main aim was getting game time and minutes, feeling good and making Charlton a better team hopefully and I think I've done that so far.
"We've got to finish the season strong, I am there until the summer and then we'll see what happens."
No doubt, Dykes will just be aiming to keep up his impressive performances for the Addicks, for the time being, in order to feature at the upcoming World Cup for his beloved nation.
Past that point, it's anyone's guess where he could next call home, with Leicester perhaps welcoming him to the club with open arms shortly, as Foxes fans everywhere go about cheering on a new talisman in attack.
