Leicester City should already be making moves in the transfer market at this stage of the summer. The centre forward department is now seriously lacking on Filbert Way since club hero Jamie Vardy exited. Scarily, Zambian Patson Daka is the only recognised senior out-and-out Foxes striker. However, the East Midlanders are likely awaiting to install (possible) new manager Marti Cifuentes before selling and signing. Nevertheless, LCFC should appoint the former Queens Park Rangers manager very soon. They really need to stock up on starters and fringe players.
To that end, the King Power side are being tipped to move for QPR's Rayan Kolli. While he is only 20 years old, Kolli is highly rated, very skillful and fairly proven in the Championship division. Though the suggestion may have been born out of fear and circumstance. All will be explained forthwith. Could the youthful attacker, who likes to watch 'old-school' ballers such as Roberto Baggio, actually aid City's cause in 2025/26? And is a transfer likely?
Leicester City could make ideal move for QPR's Rayan Kolli
Let's lay out all the information before we start. So, Leicester need to sign or loan in a few inexpensive, slightly experienced and particularly good players. That's not an easy task by a long chalk.
But Kolli could fit most of those requirements. First of all, he is of high calibre and young. The English-born, Algeria youth international also has an apparent market value of just €1.5million at the moment.
In addition to that, the occasional left-winger (but typically main forward) plays with a fearlessness that LCFC must recapture and reintroduce. He contributed with six goals in 20 appearances (including only nine starts) in tier two last season. You may recall him scoring and starring against City in the FA Cup as well!
Are the Foxes connected with Kolli?
Right now, only LondonWorld appear to have linked Kolli with the Foxes. And that was seemingly done out of the worry that Cifuentes, who is a fan, might poach the up-and-coming footballer upon joining LCFC:
"It remains to be seen whether that happens but, if it does, one likely target for Leicester City could be rising star Rayan Kolli. It would be nothing short of a nightmare for QPR to lose the 20-year-old forward."
