Leicester City have no manager at present. Though the preseason schedule continues. The King Power International Group-owned Oud-Heverlee Leuven travel to England from Belgium for the game at Seagrave. Here are
two predicted Foxes lineups for OHL friendly.
Leicester City play their Belgian sister club Oud-Heverlee Leuven in a friendly on Saturday. Of course, City remain managerless following the predicable exit of Dutch boss Ruud van Nistelrooy a couple of weeks ago. However, Spanish head coach Marti Cifuentes is expected to take the Foxes helm. He was previously at fellow Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers but left a few months back. That relationship didn't end ideally, though Cifuentes clearly wishes to progress his career.
This probably means LCFC legend Andy King will lead the King Power side in their second preseason fixture of 2025/26. Even if Cifuentes is appointed by Friday, as has been suggested, the kick-about will likely come too soon for the 43-year-old to take control at the weekend. Irrespective, City usually field two separate teams either side of half-time for these non-competitive, early offseason matches. So we have predicted two Leicester XIs for the OHL clash at the Seagrave Training Ground in Sileby, Loughborough.
Two possible Leicester City teams for Oud-Heverlee Leuven friendly on Saturday
King may begin the game with a stronger group and deploy a weaker or younger lineup for the second half. Yet judging by the Peterborough United outing, a blend is more likely.
I am not sure that Patson Daka and Jannik Vestergaard are available at the moment. No information is currently published on their statuses; apologies if I got something wrong. Nevertheless, below are two fairly balanced XIs the interim gaffer could select:
Side 1
Stolarczyk; Thomas, Okoli, Vestergaard, Justin; Winks, Soumare; Mavididi, Golding, Monga; Daka.
Side 2
Bausor; Pereira, Coady, Nelson, Aluko; Skipp, Joseph; S. Thomas, Page, Alves; Ayew.
