Ahead of the January transfer window, Ruud van Nistelrooy's first signing as Leicester City boss has been forecasted.

New Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy watched on from the crowd, as Leicester City were humiliated by Brentford away from home. Therefore, he will understand the areas he needs to fix as new Foxes boss.

Leicester City have not had the best start to the season. This is the exact reason why Ruud van Nistelrooy was brought in as the new Leicester boss. For some Leicester fans, the feeling is very much "we can only go up from here."

Indeed, Ruud van Nistelrooy will arrive with a fresh approach and hopefully one which will inspire the Foxes out of their sticky situation.

Leicester transfer news: Ruud van Nistelrooy tipped to sign Brighton gem

According to a report from Football Insider, the potential first signing for Ruud van Nistelrooy has been named. Pete O'Rourke claimed that working under Ruud van Nistelrooy would be a great opportunity for struggling Brighton forward Even Ferguson.

It has been explained already that Evan Ferguson might leave Brighton and Hove Albion in the January transfer window. The striker has not been in inspired form this season and he's slowly working his way down the Amex Stadium pecking order.

Therefore, Ferguson has been linked with a move away from the South Coast club. As a former striker and someone who knows what it takes to be a Premier League legend, Ferguson could certainly learn a lot from RvN at Leicester City.

Of course, Leicester and Brighton have a great relationship in the transfer window. Someone who is benefitting from his loan at Leicester is Brighton starlet Facundo Buonanotte. If the same could be said for Ferguson, then both clubs would ultimately benefit again.

Ruud van Nistelrooy led his first Leicester City training session yesterday. Therefore, he will only be learning more about the Leicester squad, which will inspire his future transfer plans.
