At the moment, Leicester City Football Club are linked with a plethora of potential recruits to stock up on. The January transfer window is upon us, and there is a vital opportunity for the Foxes to strengthen. If the King Power outfit still have designs on Premier League promotion - this is the final chance to stake that claim!

At present, only one transaction has taken place on Filbert Way: unwanted and wantaway centre back, Wout Faes, left on loan for AS Monaco. The defender, who is seemingly more accomplished as a Belgium National Team representative in his home country, won't be fondly remembered in LE2.

Though getting rid of Faes, even if only temporarily, was not the chief concern of City's Blue Army fan base this winter. No, not at all. Further Foxes firepower is desperately required - and a lot of it! Michail Antonio isn't joining LCFC, so another option is required.

Along with signing a striker, Leicester head coach Marti Cifuentes confirmed that the organisation are contemplating acquiring a No.10 (or an attacking midfielder) as well. Nice! The ex-Queens Park Rangers gaffer also pinpointed a new centre half now that Faes has departed. A host of suggestions and links to City have already been made.

Leicester City transfer speculation covers a plethora of potential players: Joel Piroe, Shim Mheuka, Jack Fletcher, Divine Mukasa, Harry Amass and Julio Soler.

If City don't sign Callum Wilson, other choices may prevail. Piroe is a forward Leeds United apparently want to rid themselves of. He's been connected with a move to LCFC for years.

Mheuka is a young and prolific goalscorer for Chelsea and England's youth sides. Leicester Mercury propose loaning the 18-year-old. Bournemouth left back Soler is an interesting choice from the outlet too.

"If they want to go for someone more raw, but a player who has shown signs of knowing where the net is, then Chelsea’s Shim Mheuka may be worth a shot. The 18-year-old has scored 17 goals in 15 games for Chelsea Under-21s this season."

Young Fletcher (already linked, and son of ex-interim Manchester United boss, Darren) could be that playmaker City require. Mukasa resembles a similar selection from Man City; as does the reportedly LCFC-wanted Amass (Fletcher's United teammate).

"Manchester United’s Jack Fletcher was reportedly on City’s radar earlier this season and while he’s been featuring for the Red Devils of late, with his dad Darren as interim boss, there might be a possibility he will be loaned out for the second half of the season.

Across the city, another 18-year-old in Divine Mukasa might be worth a look."
