Leicester City welcome Birmingham City to King Power Stadium for a Championship encounter on Friday evening. The supposed 'second city' side are currently fifth in the English second division. While the Leicestershire team are in seventh place at the moment.

Therefore this is one match that Foxes, Blues and neutrals can look forward to and hopefully enjoy. Let's waste no time whatsoever and detail the injuries, consequently a predicted XI and the kick-off time. Not to mention whether or not the contest is on television or available for streaming.

Things to know

Birmingham manager Chris Davies was also formerly an LCFC staff member who served as an assistant to (in true David Brent and Gareth Keenan fashion) former City gaffer Brendan Rodgers. Statistically, Leicester are in pole position: the East Midlanders have won the previous five meetings between the two outfits. The home club is favoured for the win by Google's probability rater too: 39% to 33%.

Kick-off time

The game begins at 8pm British Summer Time. The King Power is the host ground.

TV & streaming

Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Main Event HD showcase the fixture live. The proviso, "Access requirements may vary", is given.

Injury news and expected Leicester City lineup

OK, we are ready for team news. First of all, the Bluenoses (as Birmingham City is comically known) may be without an important protagonist. Jay Stansfield is said to be a serious doubt for the City clash.

On to Leicester now, with manager Marti Cifuentes giving an update on two crucial Foxes. Happily, no fresh injury problems have occurred.

"[There are] no new injuries."
Cifuentes

Fitness appears good in the King Power camp. The former Queens Park Rangers boss appeared to give Stephy Mavididi and captain Ricardo Pereira the go ahead to compete.

Possible XI

Stolarczyk; Thomas, Okoli, Vestergaard, Ricardo; Soumare, Winks; Mavididi, Page, Fatawu; Ayew.

Incidentally, Cifuentes declared Bilal El Khannouss available. I'm just not sure he'll start.
