According to a report, the Leicester City-West Bromwich Albion fixture, which is set to take place on Monday evening at 8pm (United Kingdom time) may be rescheduled. Why so? Well, we woke to a slight blanket of snow in the East Midlands this morning (at least in my area). The resumed commute to work after the festive period was cold, difficult and slightly treacherous today.

Therefore worry from emergency services, the local Leicester city council, the government and Leicester City Football Club itself exists regarding the various possibilities of spectators sustaining accidents on the way to or from King Power Stadium at the start of this week. In relation to that concern, the Foxes' official social media accounts posted a warning to those in the Blue Army fan base who are expected to travel to Filbert Way.

As you can see above, the Leicestershire outfit are taking the necessary precautions before the hypothetical eventuality of the City match being called off. In addition to that mention of increment weather, a report from Football Insider suggests that the clash between LCFC and the Baggies is at 'serious risk of postponement'; they point to the latest weather warning for reference.

What is being said and alleged of the upcoming Leicester City vs West Bromwich Albion contest

The outlet, who curiously describe the proposed encounter as 'El Sackico' (due to Leicester head coach Marti Cifuentes being under the microscope, whilst pressure also increases on WBA boss Ryan Mason), are now pushing the narrative that the game could be called off. The Met Office's 'Yellow: Snow and Ice' notification was cited.

"Leicester City’s clash with West Brom on Monday is in serious risk of postponement after a weather warning was issued."

The area around the King Power ground was supposedly under fairly thin layer of snowfall. However, we have previously seen matches go ahead in such conditions (check out the photo atop the article). Please check-in with us before leaving tonight for further information; the situation does not seem as bad as some imagine.

A trio of Championship games were postponed recently: Sheffield United vs Oxford United, Portsmouth vs Ipswich Town and Hull City vs Watford.

Update (18:22pm)

Players have begun arriving at KPS; it seems as though this one is going ahead - thankfully.
