Leicester City are apparently considering an attempt to sign an unpaid star who's proven extremely handy in the Championship division before now. Will the Foxes acquire this versatile former Nottingham Forest and Derby defender? Let's check the stories.

First of all, Leicester City need a manager to come in and sell their undesirable players; Marti Cifuentes is the media-anointed man. Secondly, a star or two (probably Bilal El Khannouss and Mads Hermansen) will likely leave. Or, at least one is probably heading out of the King Power door with less desirable players. Thirdly, whoever the new head coach is, they must sign adequate footballers to bolster City's ranks.

City have essentially got to do what has been phrased by some as to 'destroy and rebuild'. We need recruits of all shapes, sizes and statuses in the game, naturally! Luckily the East Midlanders are linked with a few players who I was pleasantly surprised about. We can't get overly excited by the quality of connections, though a few prudent as well as notable buys have been mooted. Not to mention some potential punts and gems.

Harry Toffolo, Rayan Kolli and Callum Wilson would arguably apply to the three previously mentioned categories. Although Kolli, and especially, Wilson aren't really definite options yet. Although suggestions and theories have emerged regarding that trio's chances of joining the Foxes. To that end, Leicester are said to want to sign a particularly handy, unpaid ex-Nottingham Forest and Derby County player. Read on to learn the name and Foxes of Leicester's verdict.

Sheffield Wednesday star Max Lowe is on the Leicester City radar and rightly so

Lowe is an ideal City transfer target in my opinion: committed, energetic and totally verified. The capacity to play on the left of defence or midfield is very helpful in any side.

"Talksport's Alex Crook has claimed that Leicester are now in the race to sign Max Lowe, who's understood to be one of the Sheffield Wednesday players who has given in his notice following the club's failure to pay him on time."

But another factor might perhaps become most precious at LCFC. The fact that he's won promotion to the Premier League on two occasions already.
