According to various statements in articles over the last five months, one player signed under a year ago was set to leave Leicester City. Of course, regardless of the status of the sources, this was just speculation. However it was also claimed that the Fox in question was considering, or even agreeable to, leaving the Leicestershire side.

Although, a significant u-turn has been reported at King Power Stadium. The defender has reportedly now changed his mind and will probably stay on with the Foxes. We explain previously and possibly incorrect reporting on the subject. And we detail altered information as well as the subsequent contemporary state of affairs. Along with offering our opinion on the matter.

Major Leicester City turnaround suggests passionate back-up centre back reconsidered career path to remain with Foxes

Caleb Okoli is another player who should have been more involved under threatened City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, I thought. No, the East Midlands team probably wouldn't have improved much with the Italian in the starting XI. But it couldn't have gotten much worse either!

Conor Coady and Wout Faes are a thoroughly undesirable pairing in my view. Those two possess and exhibit every mistake and drawback a centre half can have. I also admired Okoli's passion on occasion. his goal versus Brighton & Hove Albion was memorable and the kind of spark needed - yet it was allowed to extinguish.

Changes are expected at Leicester; the strikeforce will naturally be very different in Jamie Vardy's wake, of course. Though the defence requires major overhauling too, as previously outlined.

Now could be Okoli's time to shine especially if van Nistelrooy departs, as is predicted. The former Atalanta man only started four matches under the Dutchman.

"This season didn’t go how we dreamed. Every setback is a set-up for a comeback. We’ll rebuild and come back stronger. Thank you for sticking with us."

The 23-year-old, who may be an ideal Championship stalwart, confirmed that he's staying for the 'rebuild' on social media. Thankfully Coady and Faes' respective futures on Filbert Way are uncertain.
