The Premier League title-winning heroes of Leicester City Football Club hold a very special place in the Blue Army fan base's collective hearts. They are generally revereed in and around King Power Stadium, and all over the city and county of Leicestershire at large. The 'Incredibles' group are listened to and still hold sway, or some juice, within the LCFC community. That's for sure!
The reason for explaining all this: one of the title-winners is not best pleased with what he sees from the modern state of the City side. And he is not alone in being underwhelmed, nor in admonishing the Foxes group - not in the slightest. Marc Albrighton gave a short but fairly comprehensive, and certainly articulate and insightful, verdict on the contemporary East Midlands outfit.
Though the former winger on Filbert Way stopped short of saying what he probably really feels about the disastrous leadership of Khun Top (Leicester chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha) and his fairly unwelcome director of football Jon Rudkin.
In addition to overlooking the powers-that-be in LE2, Albrighton did indirectly touch on how poorly he believes head coach Marti Cifuentes has performed as well.

Clearly Albrighton is well-suited to his role in the Aston Villa Academy. His knowledge and articulation was particularly perceptive regarding City and the problems at hand. Coaching feels natural and wholly suitable.
First of all concerning the recent comments, the Englishman made a "not doing enough" remark. That statement was in relation to the constantly awful (in patches) and fragile (in general) defending regularly exhibited by LCFC.
"That's the biggest concern,” he told Sky Sports. “You can go a run without a clean sheet, but I think when it starts to get to 20-21 games, there's a major problem there that isn't being fully addressed.Marc Albrighton
Some of the defending, especially in the second half, was really questionable, balls over the top, simple, simple balls for centre halves to deal with and Coventry managing to get chances from it."
As you can see from the quotes above, Albrighton let the defence (and the midfield, to be accurate) have it. He insists Cifuentes could do better, or more, too.
"Sharkey", as the former is known in Leicester, continued with a distressing prediction. He doesn't think City will make the Playoffs:
"It is a failing Albrighton believes will cost City any hope of finishing in the play-offs:Leicester Mercury
There's been too much of that this season and in my opinion that’s what will hold them back this season."
