It's been all change for the prospective next Leicester City manager after jostling at the start of this new week. We have, thankfully, had some expert and trusted sources reveal many things which realigned the contenders who may take over at King Power Stadium. First of all, up to three people have been ruled out of contention if we trust Sky Sports and the Telegraph, among a few other lesser rated outlets.
And two potential Foxes bosses have risen in the bookies and journalists' standings. One well-known former Premier League head coach with two teams has emerged as the latest leader in the prospective LCFC gaffer race. And, encouragingly for the Blue Army fan base, an announcement is expected soon regarding the vacant position on Filbert Way. Let's get to it.
A Foxes announcement is expected soon, giving fans some hope in uncertain and testing times
John Percy of The Telegraph, one of the writers whom City supporters appreciate and listen to, has made a revealing claim about the outfit. He believes the LCFC hierarchy are currently undertaking, or have undertaken, interviews in London for the role.
Percy also suspects that an appointment is on the cards for this very week. I would assume that we will be waiting towards the weekend for an announced. But progress is being made, if we place faith into the report.
A new leader emerges in the Leicester City manager race
Ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers team leader Gary O’Neil is now apparently the "front runner" for the top Foxes job. That's according to Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports. He is another trustworthy reporter, if you value my input.
Anyway, back to O'Neil. I consider him a progressive coach: what I mean by that is that he will embrace modern techniques. If you wanted the old school-type, then the 42-year-old did demand high standards at Wolves.
Gary O’Neil now a front runner for #lcfc job, with Rohl and Dyche out of the picture, I’m told. Rohl too complicated, Dyche has distanced himself. Chris Wilder still very much an option at this stage, with Leicester keen to progress the hunt.

It did end up going poorly for O'Neil at Molineux though. Yet the squad he helped assemble was quality, and he had them performing once. It's another risk for LCFC; I rate him, but somebody more stable might have been a better choice.
